Solar Cylindrical picture CIGS Solar panel VS Monocrystalline Solar panel Comparisons-NEWLIGHT ENERGY CIGS Solar panel VS Monocrystalline Solar panel Comparisons-NEWLIGHT ENERGY
Efficiency After cylindrical Flat install Currently technique >18% Flat install PERC/SUNPOWER/ABC

mono solar panel>22%

After cylindrical:

CIGS solar cylindrical: only CIGS solar cell/panel, even 360 degree curved without any damage for a long years lifetime after cylindrical.

After cylindrical:

Due to mono solar cell (PERC/SUPOWER/ABC solar cell) technology shortage, mono solar panel curved angle less than 30 degree, it is good for semi flexible solar panel, but not good for cylindrical, even in market some propaganda say special technical can make mono solar cylindrical, 2-3 years later mono solar cell efficiency will be shorter and shorter till to die.

Performance in Shade Super;

less affected by partial shading due to bypass diodes.

Bad;

output can drop dramatically if even a small section is shaded.

Performance in Cloudy days Super;

In CIGS panels, a layer containing Copper Indium Gallium Selenide acts like an absorbing layer and hence these modules are more sensitive to sunlight spectrum resulting in more energy yield.

CIGS solar panel can absorb energy even cloudy days about 20-30% energy compare to sunny days.

Bad:

Mono solar panel absorb energy very few in cloudy days.

Flexibility Rolling design

360 degree curved

Semi-flexible mono solar panel, Less than 30-degree curved;

Glass solar panel, rigid, not curved.

Weight Very lightweight (due to thin-film technology) Heavier (especially standard glass panels)
Temperature Tolerance Better;

loses less power as temperature rises (lower temperature coefficient)

More affected by extreme heat than CIGS panels
Durability Resilient to shock, pressure, and micro-cracking Susceptible to microcracking, which can reduce efficiency over time
Cost Much higher Much lower than CIGS
Applicability and Conclusion CIGS Solar panel VS Monocrystalline Solar panel Comparisons-NEWLIGHT ENERGY
Good performance for solar cylindrical.
CIGS Solar panel VS Monocrystalline Solar panel Comparisons-NEWLIGHT ENERGY
It is not applicable for solar cylindrical, but good for flat or wave solar product applications.
